YOU'VE GOT QUESTIONS & WE'VE GOT ANSWERS!
What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are a semi-permanent solution for women looking to dramatically enhance their short or sparse lashes, and rid themselves of the hassle of messy mascara. Unlike old-fashioned strip lashes, lash extensions are customized to meet your specific aesthetic needs. The curl, length, color and fullness of your set of lash extensions vary from client to client. Our lashes are very natural looking and can be worn for weeks with minimal care. We apply individual synthetic lashes to a single natural eyelash using a surgical-grade adhesive manufactured specifically for this application.
Our lash extensions are made from synthetic silk fibers, which are sanitized and hypoallergenic.
Is the glue safe to use in the eye area?
Yes! We use only specially formulated, surgical-grade glue that has been approved for use around the eye. The glue is formaldehyde-free and very gentle.
How long will my eyelash extensions REALLY last?
Most clients can expect to come in for a relash every 2 weeks. It really depends on the growth cycle of your lashes. In general, an appointment to fill in any missing lashes should be scheduled when you have lost no more than half of your lash extensions. Our certified lash extension specialists are specifically trained to apply extensions using the proper technique and products to ensure the longest lash life possible. Oil based products around the eyes should be avoided, along with excessive rubbing of the eye area, to help make lashes last as long as possible.
Your first visit for a full set of lashes will typically take about two hours, depending on how many natural lashes you have. Once the initial set of lashes have been applied, you will need to schedule routine appointments with us to fill in any lost lashes. For those clients who chose to maintain their lashes every 2 week, the appointment will last about 45 minutes.
With proper application and care, your natural lashes will not be damaged by extensions. We recommend that clients invest in our aftercare kit for easy maintenance.
Most women who wear eyelash extensions find they no longer need to wear mascara. For best results, we recommend that women do not coat their lash extensions with mascara. However, if you are looking for a little extra "oomph" for an occasional night out, check out the glycol-free mascara we sell on the site. Its safe for use on extensions and is easily removed.
How are eyelash extensions removed?
We doubt you'll want your lashes removed...but should you opt to give your lashes a break, eyelash extensions should only be removed by a qualified eyelash extension professional. The process utilizes a specialized remover that gently dissolves the adhesive without damaging natural lashes or irritating the eyelid or eye.
How do mobile lash extensions differ from those offered in a traditional beauty salon?
We recognize that many women today face the challenge of balancing work and home, and managing to find time for herself amidst that challenge can feel nearly impossible. Knowing this, we offer the convenience of in-home service, sparing you both a trip to the salon and a call to the babysitter. Pairing this convenience with the skill and training of our certified lash extensions speciailists, our services make long, luscious lashes available to those with the most challenging of schedules!
What type of product do you use on your clients?
We refuse to offer anything less than the best for our clients. We use Luscious Lashes branded eyelash extension and medical-grade adhesive for those clients interested in extending their natural lashes.
We are currently researching various eyelash extension distributors in Asia. We plan to launch our line of eyelash extension supplies in November 2009.
Appointments are always required, and we recommend that clients call at least 3-5 days ahead of their anticipated appointment date to ensure our availability. Let us know your preferred appointment time, and we will do our best to meet your scheduling needs. We offer weekday evening appointments and weekend appointments.
