Jasmine Ayres began her love affair with semi-permanent eyelash extensions five years ago, shortly after the beauty service was introduced in the United States. As a starving graduate student at USC, Jasmine traded in her acrylic nails for lash extensions from a gal at a small beauty shop in Koreatown.  Everyone always commented on her lashes, and because lash extensions weren’t a well-known beauty trend at that time, no one questioned their authenticity. As far as anyone could tell, she was just blessed with the most luscious lashes known to mankind!

A couple years later, Jasmine found herself beginning a new chapter of life as an ad agency executive and busy bride-to-be. Living and working in Orange County, Southern California’s beauty mecca, Jasmine struggled to find a service that provided both high quality lash extensions and the flexibility to meet the demands of her hectic schedule. All of the reputable lash extension salons in the area closed their doors by the time she managed to pry herself away from the agency at days’ end. It seemed that while Jasmine was busy making a living, she was slowly forfeiting bits and pieces of life that she had once thoroughly enjoyed – like her lovely lash extensions. Ultimately, after having a series of what Oprah has coined as “Aha! Moments,” Jasmine traded in her agency gig for a corporate position that offered a true, work-life balance. That same year, she opted to unleash her entrepreneurial spirit, reviving her love affair with semi-permanent lash extensions and becoming a certified lash extension specialist.
